Happy Ever Afters

Rowan was a normal boy living with his mum, struggling financially, until one day he discovers a book in a local charity shop.

When reading it at home, he discovers it's unfinished. He reads the last written page and suddenly gets sucked into the book, landing in a forest.

He meets a creature called Gunther, who explains that the book was written to protect a boy called Dominique who was left in it when he was just a boy by his grandfather, who promised he'd join him once the book had a happy ever after written.

But the grandfather disappeared, leaving Dominique alone in the book. Can Rowan find the author of the story before it's too late, as a huge storm is coming that will destroy everyone and everything in the magical book forever?

Can Rowan get his best friend, Jim, to believe him, and can they find the author in time?

How To Make Sure Your Life Doesn't Suck: A Different Kind Of Guide To Navigating The Ups And Downs Of Life

“How To Make Sure Your Life Doesn’t Suck"
A Different Kind Of Guide To Navigating The Ups And Downs Of Life.

Foreword by Michael Neill an internationally renowned Transformative Coach and best-selling Hay House author.

This is not your typical self-help book. It was not written to stuff your head with more “to-do” lists, strategies, secrets that turn out not be secrets, “woo-woo” lingo you cannot understand or relate to, techniques we all eventually give up on, or calls to just “think positive” 24/7.

This book was written to help you look at your thoughts, your feelings, yourself, and your life in a fundamentally different way. It will show you how you can navigate through tough moments so you can experience more peace of mind regardless of your circumstances. It will help you re-discover who you truly are. It will show you why you don’t need to think positive and can still be all right. It will help you embrace your humanness.

When you read it with an open heart and an open mind, this book is going to be a catalyst for your own unique epiphanies and insights.

Dr. Maggie Gilewicz, aka Dr. Maggie G., is a Sociologist and a Transformative Coach. She helps people from all walks of life understand and navigate their feelings, and see themselves and their lives in a fundamentally different way by sharing the new understanding of mind often referred to as the “inside-out understanding,” or the “three principles.” She is passionate about helping young adults design meaningful and fulfilling lives. Otherwise, she lives in London, loves to travel, and sing songs by Ella Fitzgerald after a couple of glasses of wine.

If you would like to explore the topics raised in the book and more, please subscribe to her podcast “How To Make Sure Your Life Doesn’t Suck With Dr. Maggie G.”

The Broken Inside of Me Secrets, Betrayal, Romance & Love, combined are the pieces of me by Author and Poet Taylor Grace!

Secrets, Betrayal, Romance & Love, combined are the pieces of me

The Broken Inside of Me,

Author: Taylor Grace

Some days a domestic goddess, and other days a lost woman that still hasn’t bothered to brush her hair. My journey is full of life’s whimsical tales, love, laughter, heartache, trauma, passion, fantasy and everything in between.   My writing is raw, sometimes too raw but I write it anyways, it’s my truth, my voice and I will share it. I’ve been described as honest, even complicated and have a whole lot of sassy undertones, so things get interesting,  even comical at times.
Glad you are here and hope you enjoy reading my thoughts, stories and poems, as much as I enjoyed writing them!

Utterly Brilliant!: My Life's Journey by Timmy Mallett

Utterly Brilliant!
My Life's Journey
by Timmy Mallett

Utterly Brilliant!: My Life's Journey

In the spring of 2018, as the 'Beast from the East' hit northern Europe, Timmy needed every bit of his natural exuberance.
He had undertaken to cycle 2,500 miles from his home to Santiago de Compostela in memory of his brother Martin, who was born with Down's syndrome and had died just a few days earlier.
This was a journey of exploration, honouring Martin's outlook on life [RD1] that everyone can reach their potential. And so, with his painting gear strapped to his bike, Timmy (an increasingly renowned artist) set off.
He was blessed by letters of support from the Archbishop of York, the Bishops of Oxford and Winchester, the then Prime Minister Theresa May, Prince William and President Macron of France.
Full of unexpected moments, Timmy's account of his pilgrimage along a route travelled by so many over the centuries weaves together history and biography in a hugely entertaining manner.

It is undergirded by a touching faith and conveys, beyond all else, how important it is to live every moment of every day.

Thinking on My Feet: The small joy of putting one foot in front of another by Kate Humble

Thinking on My Feet:
The small joy of putting one foot in front of another
by Kate Humble

Thinking on My Feet: The small joy of putting one foot in front of the other

'A beautiful and magnificent book. A paean to a simple act. I defy you to read this book and not be inspired to walk, march or hike - and as a result live a better life more connected with nature and the world around you.' - Simon Reeve

'A lovely book, fast-flowing yet at every turn giving the reader pause for thought. Kate Humble makes a delightful companion, her words full of sunshine and the raw pleasure she radiates as she encounters life in its many unexpected forms.' - Benedict Allen

'A lovely, civilised and transporting read, that should have all of us stepping out to meet the world with fresh eyes.' - Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall

'An enticing read that makes every walk Humble describes an adventure' - Ranulph Fiennes

'I've discovered that going for a daily walk has become as essential to me feeling good for the rest of the day as that first cup of tea. But I would argue that all I am doing is responding to a natural need we all have. Humans have always been migrants, the physiological urge to be nomadic is deep-rooted in all of us and perhaps because of that our brains are stimulated by walking. I solve all sorts of problems, formulate ideas, work things out to that gentle rhythm of self-propelled movement.' - Kate Humble

Thinking on My Feet tells the story of Kate's walking year - shining a light on the benefits of this simple activity. Kate's inspiring narrative not only records her walks (and runs) throughout a single year, but also charts her feelings and impressions throughout - capturing the perspectives that only a journey on foot allows - and shares the outcomes: a problem solved, a mood lifted, an idea or opportunity borne. As she explores the reasons why we walk, whether for creative energy, challenge and pleasure, or therapeutic benefits, Kate's reflections and insights will encourage, motivate and spur readers into action.

Also featured are Kate's walks with others who have discovered the magical, soothing effect of putting one foot in front of the other - the artist who walks to find inspiration for his next painting; the man who takes people battling with addiction to climb mountains; the woman who walked every footpath in Wales (3,700 miles) when she discovered she had cancer.

This book will inspire you to change your perspective by applying walking to your daily endeavours.

The Leadership Gap: What Gets Between You and Your Greatness by Lolly Daskal

The Leadership Gap:
What Gets Between You and Your Greatness
by Lolly Daskal

The Leadership Gap: What Gets Between You and Your Greatness

Wall Street Journal Bestseller

Do people see you as the kind of leader you want to be? After decades of advising and inspiring some of the most eminent chief executives in the world, Lolly Daskal has uncovered a startling pattern: within each leader are powerful abilities that are also hidden impediments to greatness. She's witnessed many highly driven, overachieving leaders rise to prominence fueled by well-honed skill sets, only to falter when the shadow sides of the same skills emerge.

Now Daskal reveals her proven system, which leaders at any level can apply to dramatically improve their results. It begins with identifying your distinctive leadership archetype and recognizing its shadow:

■ The Rebel, driven by confidence, becomes the Imposter, plagued by self-doubt.
The Explorer, fueled by intuition, becomes the Exploiter, master of manipulation.
■ The Truth Teller, who embraces candor, becomes the Deceiver, who creates suspicion.
■ The Hero, embodying courage, becomes the Bystander, an outright coward.
■ The Inventor, brimming with integrity, becomes the Destroyer, who is morally corrupt.
■ The Navigator, trusts and is trusted, becomes the Fixer, endlessly arrogant.
■ The Knight, for whom loyalty is everything, becomes the Mercenary, who is perpetually self-serving.

Using psychology, philosophy, and her own experience, Daskal offers a breakthrough perspective on leadership. She'll take you inside some of the most cloistered boardrooms, let you in on deeply personal conversations with industry leaders, and introduce you to luminaries who've changed the world. Her insights will help you rethink everything you know to become the leader you truly want to be.
